The Soldiers Table Revealed
Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
With an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
As described by the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might appear mismatched, but the events of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the team understands precisely where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the secret base, striking Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to auction.
The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and fled to a fortified location in the northern region, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each character has a individual motive to exit Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- But, their position as important members in House Halovar could help the team reach locations they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are hunted by the rulers that govern the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The cleric defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This leaves them few options but to journey toward Timmony in quest for Casimir.
